Nico di Angelo was born in the 1930s to Maria di Angelo and the god Hades. After his mother's death, he and his sister Bianca were placed in the Lotus Hotel and Casino, where time stood still. They emerged decades later, still children, with no memory of their true nature.

When they first arrived at Camp Half-Blood, Nico was an innocent boy obsessed with the card game Mythomagic. He was claimed by Hades and assigned to Cabin 13, though the cabin remained mostly empty due to Hades' children being rare.

The Titan's Curse - Tragedy Strikes

During the quest to rescue Artemis, Bianca joined the Hunters of Artemis and was later killed while protecting her new family. This devastating loss shattered Nico's innocence and marked the beginning of his transformation into the "Ghost King." He blamed Percy Jackson for his sister's death, beginning a complex relationship that would evolve over time.

The Battle of the Labyrinth - Embracing Darkness

As Nico learned to control his powers, he became increasingly isolated and bitter. He mastered shadow travel and necromancy, earning the nickname "Ghost King."
